Make racism extinct: new work for Create Not Hate

To coincide with Black History Month, we have some new work out as part of our Create Not Hate initiative.

Quick recap: CnH was founded by Quiet Storm ECD Trevor Robinson to give young people from marginalised communities an insight into the creative industries, hopefully inspiring them to see this as a viable career option by given them a chance to flex their own creative muscles. The ideas are raw and unfiltered, and all the more exciting for that, with the kids directly involved in production as well.

The idea of using dinosaurs as a metaphor for making racism extinct was developed by Jet Harris & Le’vaughn Smith, both aged 16 and part of the Merton Council Youth Program. Jet and Le'vaughn also co-directed. The work was produced with the help of Red Brick Road and The Mill, with placement sorted by Total Media.

You can find out more about Create Not Hate here, along with previous work.
